Teresa Xie is a journalist based in New York. She is currently a Young Professional Journalist Fulbright Scholar in Berlin. Previously, she was a reporter at Bloomberg News and on NPR’s Tiny Desk + Louder Than A Riot teams. She has also written for places like Pitchfork, Vox, The Nation, and Bandcamp to name a few.

She is also a documentary filmmaker. As a
2024-2025 Bronx Documentary Center Films Fellow, Teresa spent 9 months directing, editing, and producing a documentary about a monk living in the Bronx. During a week-long summer intensive in Maine, she made a short about a stone sculptor. Prior, she was a member of BRIC’s 2024 Documentary Intensive Cohort, where she made a film about her family called BABA (爸爸).
